St Bernadette’s is committed to helping our students experience God's love in an environment of prayer, support, celebration and belonging, which will nurture their faith
In addition to formal Religious Education lessons, our students are encouraged to understand and embrace their Catholic identity through:
PRAYER AND LITURGY
Students pray daily in classes, at school assemblies and events and participate in special prayer focuses such as learning the Rosary. Students attend Mass regularly.
CELEBRATIONS AND CEREMONIES
Mother’s and Father’s Day, ANZAC Day and Grandparents’ Day are all acknowledged with respect.
CHARITY, FUNDRAISING & SOCIAL JUSTICE
Our school has been involved with St Vincent de Paul, Caritas and Catholic Mission. Each year every class puts together Christmas hampers for those in need in our community. Our Years 3-6 students are able to be part of Mini Vinnies and have made meaningful contributions to major projects such as collecting donations for oral health in the Philippines and a plastic bottle top drive for Envision Hands who make prosthetic limbs for children.
St Bernadette's has a close relationship with our parish. We support the parish sacramental program and students have the opportunity to perform as altar servers.
